El Marinique is
nestled on a small bluff overlooking beautiful Rincon and Las Galeras
Bays in the little fishing village of Las Galeras. Just steps away from
the ocean, el Marinique offers several differing accommodations set
in a lush, tropical garden ablaze with color. |

Accommodations
include two apartments, three cottages and one large room.
With it’s oceanfront location only a half block from the center of the
village, el Marinique provides you the peace and serenity that very few hotels
can offer; a certain ambiance and personal attention that only a small property
with a dedicated staff can achieve. This is truly Dominican hospitality at its

The fully furnished
apartments have two stories with the ground floor having a large, covered
entrance porch, a large living-dining room with a full kitchenette and
a bathroom with shower and hot water. Also in the living area is a large,
convertible sofa-bed that comfortably sleeps two.Windows are extra large
and fully screened. |

The second
floor is a large, open sleeping loft with a ceiling fan and
a queen-sized double bed. It opens via screened, double doors
onto a private, full-width covered balcony with a panoramic
view of the garden and ocean beyond. |

The cottages are
decorated Dominican style; simply furnished, spotlessly clean, bright
and airy with lots of flow-through ventilation. Two cottages have two
double beds and can accommodate up to four persons each. All windows
have screens and for those rare days when we don't have a breeze, a
ceiling fan provides airy comfort. Each cottage has a bathroom with
hot water shower. On the front of each cottage is a small patio with
several chairs; a great place to sit and enjoy the quiet hours.
The room is large with fully screened windows and an oscillating fan. Also simply
furnished, it also has two double beds and a separate bathroom with shower. |

Nightly
rates range from $39 to $89 USD plus tax, high season, double
occupancy, breakfast included. Off-season rates are lower.
Discounts for young children, large groups and extended stays
are also offered. Payment methods include cash, Mastercard-Visa
and Traveler's Cheques. A deposit is required to secure a reservation.

One of the highlights
of a stay with us is Nicole's superb
cooking. Nicole's Oceanview Restaurant and Terrace Bar
not only features an international cuisine with her unique
twist, it also affords the caressing touch of the trade winds
while you dine in the cool shade of the veranda and enjoy the
best view of the bay in Las Galeras.
Nicole’s menu is highlighted by fresh seafood (caught
daily) and by tender beef steaks aged to mouth-watering
perfection. Her kitchen’s offerings also include roast pork, young goat
and a house specialty, Shrimp Primavera on Pasta.
Grilled offerings from the BBQ include lobster liberally brushed with garlic
and lime butter and Capt. Andy’s finger lickin’ good chicken, ribs
and steaks all smothered with Nicole’s savory Creole sauce. |

Nicole
is very picky about her food and serves only the best products
available. Not only does she bake her own bread and pastries
and blend her special vinaigrette salad dressing, but she is
also noted for her homemade desserts that
range from crepes to pies to specialty cakes. Top these with
a dollop of rich, Dominican ice cream and you're in culinary
heaven! |

Kick off your shoes
and luxuriate in the warmth of the Caribbean sun on our outdoor patio
or kick back in the hammock. Sit on the moonlit veranda, sip on a Pina
Colada and spend special moments in our rocking chairs savoring the

include: day trips to area attractions, swimming and diving,
whale-watching, horseback riding in the mountains or on our

and Andy will keep you as busy or as laid back as you want. |
